Veterinarian
Dr. Garrou graduated from Texas A&M University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2000 and has been practicing in Houston (her hometown) ever since. Dr. Garrou obtained her certification as a Diplomate of the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners (ABVP) in 2008, with a species specialization focus in canine and feline patients. Her veterinary interests include endocrinology, cardiology, ultrasound, soft tissue surgery, and infectious diseases.
Dr. Garrou currently serves on the board of The Houston Zoo, volunteering her time on the Animal Welfare Committee and the Community Based Conservation Committee. She is passionate about conservation and saving animals and their habitats in the wild. She is also a past Continuing Education Chair for the Board of American Board of Veterinary Practitioners and a past board member of the Harris County Veterinary Medical Association. Dr. Garrou also serves in an advisory role as a DVM in Residence for TeleVet, a telemedicine platform for veterinarians and pet owners.
When she is not taking care of animals, Dr. Garrou enjoys spending time with her husband, Blair, and their two daughters, Hannah and Madeline. She has two dogs, Buddy and Klaus, who keep the entire family entertained with their derpy antics at home.
