Veterinary Assistants

Veronica Coronado
Lead Veterinary Assistant

Born in the heart of downtown Houston at St. Joseph Hospital, Veronica has been a Houstonian her entire life. Her love and adoration for animals is a life long passion that started when she was just a kid. Growing up, her family always had dogs, cats, or both. In fact, random stray dogs would follow her home from school almost weekly! Veronica entered the veterinary field in 2008 and has devoted her career to patient care ever since. She has climbed her way up from kennel technician to now managing our Kennel department. Over these 10 years she has remained devoted to learning as much as possible about patient care. She currently lives with her 10 cats, 5 dogs, 2 rats, 1 bearded dragon, a turtle, a human roommate, and her amazing vet tech fiance. When able, her and her fiance take in abandoned senior dogs and care for them through the last season of their lives. She considers it a great honor to do so. When not spending time with her fur family, you can find her driving down some old dirt road or wandering through some nature rich hiking trail. To her, pet care, behavior and their well being are the most important things in life. She is grateful everyday for the opportunity to both live and work with them.

Luis Perez, CVA I

Growing up there fueled her passion for the ocean and marine life. She graduated from Florida Gulf Coast University with a degree in Biology in 2016. She then moved to Houston in August of 2017. She has two older brothers in the Army that have blessed her with her amazing nieces and nephews!
